WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - Watertown police are investigating a brazen act of vandalism at a downtown business.

Surveillance video shows what appears to be a man smashing the front window at DB’s Barbershop at 20 Public Square.

Dressed in black and wearing a ski mask, the man walks up to the business and repeatedly strikes the window with what appears to be a crowbar.

As glass shards fall to the sidewalk, the man walks away.

Police said the vandalism happened before 5 a.m. on Wednesday.

DB’s Barbershop owner Devon Burton told 7 News it will likely cost $3,500 to $4,000 to replace the window. Right now, plywood covers the damage.

Burton says that in his 5 years in business, this is the second time someone has damaged his storefront.
