A San Jose security guard was arrested for allegedly pulling a gun on an unhoused person, police said Wednesday.
On Sept. 2, police responded to a report of someone brandishing a gun in the area of West San Carlos Street and Leland Avenue. The suspect allegedly chased an unhoused person with the gun, pushed the man to the ground, and pointed the gun at them. Investigators were told that the suspect was wearing some sort of silver badge on his belt and appeared to be either law enforcement or security. The victim was unharmed and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Detectives identified the suspect as Demont Taylor, 43, who they said worked as a security guard for a company based out of San Jose.
