Estero grad Sophia Reed sinks hole-in-one in first college golf tournament

Sophia Reed’s first college golf tournament was one to remember.

Playing at Division-II Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, the Estero graduate made a hole-in-one in her final hole of the Millersville Fall Invitational at the Berkleigh Golf Club on Tuesday.

“It was a pretty cool moment,” Reed said. “It was pretty surreal.”

The freshman, who made The News-Press All-Area First Team last year , said she was battling nerves ahead of the event.
