The 2025 Senior World Championships are in the books for the state of Iowa's wrestlers, with former Hawkeye Real Woods, as well as Iowa women Kylie Welker and Kennedy Blades, all leaving Zagreb, Croatia, with Senior World bronze.
Aside from that, the other nine wrestlers who competed from at Iowa, Iowa State , Northern Iowa and William Penn colleges came up short at one of the premier yearly events. However, there were a number of things we learned about some of the schools' alumni and current wrestlers against the World's best.

1. Winning Senior-level gold is hard
As obvious as that sounds, many expected Olympic silver medal
