A Milwaukee bus driver recognized and helped rescue a "critically missing girl."

The incident happened on July 8, according to officials.

Footage released by the Milwaukee County Transit System shows a girl entering the bus "unaccompanied" and with "no money for fare."

According to the MCTS, the driver recognized her from a missing person report he had seen earlier that day.

He alerted MCTS dispatch, saying: "I think I picked up that missing 10-year-old girl."

The girl was subsequently seen being escorted off the bus by a police officer, the post said.

No other information was released.
