CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was arrested after a deadly double shooting near a homeless camp in east Charlotte early Tuesday morning.
Records showed that the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Francisco Lopez-Tadeo, was apprehended and issued no bond. He faces a first-degree murder charge.
Records stated that one of the people shot, 35-year-old Tavares Phifer, was rushed to Novant Health Presbyterian Main, where he died from his injuries. The second person shot, an unidentified female, was rushed to Atrium Health Main, where she remains in critical condition.
