PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. — A man has died after he was pulled out of a backyard pool in Paradise Valley on Thursday.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded to a drowning call at about 11:45 a.m. to the residential area of Scottsdale Road and McDonald Drive.

When crews arrived on scene, they pulled a man out of a pool. Phoenix fire said the man was beyond resuscitation measures and was pronounced deceased.

The Phoenix Police Department will be investigating the incident.
