HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - The Warrick Humane Society says a disagreement with PBTT's insurance company is delaying their return to their property following the Newburgh chemical fire.

According to a post from the humane society, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management recommended that their facility should have a fresh layer of gravel on the parking lot and in the back area where the animals are to put a barrier between them and the fallen ash since there is no way to clean the gravel. However, on Thursday, the society said they were informed through IDEM that PBTT's insurance company changed their minds and will not be assisting in getting the property to where it needs to be.
