Former President Barack Obama spoke out on Thursday about the suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s show following pressure from the Federal Communications Commission.

ABC’s decision to take Kimmel’s show off the air came hours after FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, an appointee of President Donald Trump , threatened the network. Obama criticized this move by the Trump administration for threatening media companies in a post on social media platform X.
