CINCINNATI (WXIX) -The Hebron Fire Protection District now has a new system that helps firefighters better communicate with non-English speakers.

The fire district says that all three of its advanced life support ambulances are now equipped with medical interpreters.

The fire protection district states that the interpreters:

Ensures patients and families can communicate clearly during medical emergencies.

Provides safer, more accurate care for non-English-speaking patients.

Aligns prehospital care with the same interpretation resources used in our local hospitals and dispatch centers.

“When we launch this, it’s linking into a service of over 25,000 live interpreters, and those 25,000 interpreters they cover a little over 240 languages, and so it’s really impressive and sign language
