After rolling through the first two weeks of the 2025 NFL regular season, the last thing the Green Bay Packers need is injuries.
Having already lost Jayden Reed for the foreseeable future, they are now holding their breath as they await an update on Tucker Kraft, who has become a key cog in the offense for Matt LaFleur's team.
Kraft is dealing with a knee ailment that popped up during Thursday's session, leaving his status up in the air for the immediate future.
The Packers tight end broke out in a big way during Week 2, finishing with six catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. He has scored in each of the first two weeks, but an injury could present some issues moving forward.
Here's the latest on Kraft heading into Week 3.
Tucker Kraft injury update
Kraft suffered a knee injury in practice on Thursday and will be fully evaluated, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The injury is not believed to be a long-term issue for the Packers tight end, but the timing is certainly notable. While it's unclear what his availability will be for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, suffering an injury late in the practice week typically doesn't bode well for a player's ability to play that week.
It appears the team and Kraft fantasy managers will have to take the wait-and-see approach heading into Week 3.
Packers TE depth chart
- Tucker Kraft
- Luke Musgrave
- John FitzPatrick
- Ben Sims
Kraft and Musgrave both arrived in Green Bay ahead of the 2023 season, with the latter being expected to emerge as the starting tight end.
That eventually changed over time as Kraft solidified himself as a favorite target for Jordan Love, relegating Musgrave to a complementary role in the offense.
If Kraft is out, Musgrave figures to take over the TE1 role, with the other factoring in on special teams and serving as added depth.
