GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — More than a dozen people gathered on the sidewalk at a busy intersection near 13 ON YOUR SIDE's studio to protest an ABC programming decision Thursday afternoon.

ABC announced it would be preempting Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely following the controversy over the late-night host's comments about the man suspected of killing Charlie Kirk.

Reaction to the network's decision was mixed.

Some in West Michigan disagreed with the move and held signs at the corner of Alpine Avenue and 3 Mile Road. Some drivers honked as they passed by.

Messages the demonstrators shared included "Do not obey in advance" and "Shame on ABC for caving."

ABC has a programming feedback support page and can be contacted online here.
