LANSDOWNE, Md. —
As the Baltimore Ravens gear up for another home game, they will also welcome another Maryland youth group to sit in an "Honor Row."
The Honor Rows program recognizes youth doing outstanding work to better their communities. WBAL-TV visited the "Viking Food Pantry" at Lansdowne High School that operates twice a month, all year long.
For more than six years, people in Lansdowne have lined up at the Viking Food Pantry, eager to stock up on fresh food, pantry staples and even clothing.
"When we started, we got maybe 40 to 50 families a month, and now, we're averaging anywhere from 60 to 80. I believe our most in one week, I believe we had 93 families here," said Rhonda Bailey, a Lansdowne High teacher who helps with the program.
