Police called after woman receives package containing animal carcass: report

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Boardman police are investigating after a woman was shipped a package that contained an animal carcass.

Police were called to a Boardman home on Wednesday evening after a woman discovered the torso of an animal had been shipped to her.

The woman told police she received a package from UPS at about 11:30 that morning and was unaware who had sent it. She said the package had an awful smell and had begun to attract flies, according to the incident report.

When the woman opened the box later that day, reports state it contained a "cooked, dead carcass of an unknown animal" with mold at the bottom.
