PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - An 18-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in Albany for a deadly shooting in northeast Portland on New Year’s Eve 2023 , according to the Portland Police Bureau.

On the evening of Dec. 31, 2023, officers responded to reports of a shooting on Northeast Faloma Road in the East Columbia Neighborhood.

Police found two men suffering from gunshot wounds - 21-year-old Skyler Stuckey of Albany, and a then-18-year-old man. Both were rushed to the hospital, where Stuckey died. The second victim was treated and then released from the hospital.

On Wednesday, 18-year-old Jimmi Lawing of Albany was arrested during a traffic stop by Albany police, and then extradited to Multnomah County on Thursday.
