GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Crews responded to a plane that ran off the runway and crashed into the corner of a home on Thursday afternoon, September 18.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, the plane ran off the runway at the Mayfield Airport and hit a home on the south side of Kentucky 58 East.

Deputies say no one was injured.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, KY 58 is blocked from KY 131 to Byrd Road due to the crash and possible fuel spill.

They say the closure is expected to last overnight and until at least midday on Friday, Sept. 19, but it could be extended.

Signs will be posted at KY 301 to detour semi traffic.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft is a 2013 CESSNA 525C. It’s a fixed-wing, multi-engine plane with 11 seats
