OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma Gamefowl Commission PAC has been ordered to dissolve and pay thousands of dollars as part of a settlement with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission.
The Gamefowl Commission advocates for lessening cockfighting penalties and admitted to violating several ethics rules, including accepting anonymous contributions above the legal limit.
Gamefowl Commission President Anthony DeVore was also charged with a misdemeanor in McIntosh County after being accused of being a spectator at a cockfight.
As part of the settlement, the Gamefowl Commission will pay $10,000, dissolve within 30 days, and cannot form a new political action committee for two years.
