A Downey man accused by prosecutors of targeting kids “for sexual exploitation online” through his role in a network of “violent extremists” pleaded not guilty Thursday to a federal charge of possession of child pornography.
Dong Hwan Kim, 27, was arrested last month at his home by members of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
A tentative trial date of Nov. 4 was scheduled at his arraignment in downtown Los Angeles.
