BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - After many trials and tribulations, Stepping Stone Ministries, Bismarck’s new respite center, will be opening soon.
This project has been underway for a couple of years. It was set to open in December of last year, but flooding and a mysterious fire set the project back.
Located in the old Railway Credit Union in downtown Bismarck, Stepping Stone Ministries’ goal is to provide temporary recuperative care for homeless individuals coming out of hospitals and help them find resources to get back on their feet.
This project was spearheaded by Benedictine Sister Idelle Badt, with Annunciation Monastery, after she noticed a need in the Bismarck community while at Ministry on the Margins.
