ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WAVE) - The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a concerning spike in cemetery vandalisms. The latest targets include a family who lost their two children less than two weeks apart back in 2014.

Brianna Taylor died on June 23, 2014, after she was hit by a drunk driver. Less than two weeks later, her older brother, Brice, was hit by a deer while riding an ATV and passed away. The siblings were both buried at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

A golden medallion with the faces of Brice and Brianna and twelve notches representing the twelve days the inseparable siblings spent apart is now missing from their gravesite. The family said other special items are also missing.
