A mudslide swept through the Oak Glen area within the past hour as remnants of Tropical Storm Mario continued moving into Southern California, bringing rain and thunderstorms to the region.
Video submitted by a KTLA viewer showed mud quickly rushing down a hillside, overtaking portions of a parking lot. Two trucks appeared to be stuck in the debris.
Lightning strikes and brief, heavy downpours were reported overnight across Southern California. The National Weather Service said the risk of showers and flooding will continue through Thursday.
Flood watches remain in effect through late Thursday night for parts of Los Angeles, Ventura, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
