Police are seeking help identifying two suspects believed to be responsible for the theft of a Calgary Paralympian’s custom-built handbike.

The theft occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 8, when two male suspects broke into an underground parking garage in the area of 16 Avenue and 14 Street SW.

Police believe the suspects entered a parked vehicle and stole the high-performance bike, which is used for para-cycling competitions and valued at $35,000.

Kara Douville, who recently returned from competing at the 2025 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in Belgium, discovered the theft on Monday morning as she was heading to work.
