One person was arrested after a deadly stabbing happened on Idaho Street in Jackson.

According to Interim Police Chief Tyree Jones, officers were called to the 2500 block of Idaho Street around 3:55 p.m.

They found a male victim, 43-years-old, who had been stabbed multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers learned that there was a fight between the victim and a 27-year-old suspect. The 27-year-old suspect then allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim several times.

The suspect was detained at the scene and taken down to police headquarters for questioning.
