APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - The Appleton community showed out Thursday night at a Family Night event hosted by the Kaleidoscope Academy to celebrate the school's 100th anniversary.
The event ran from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the Kaleidoscope Academy at 318 East Brewster Street and was open to current families, alumni, staff, and neighbors of the school.
Those in attendance were treated to a City of Appleton & Appleton Historical Society Proclamation, the creation of a time capsule, historical tours led by students every 15 minutes, and a Roosevelt historical display.
Officials with the Kaleidoscope Academy, formerly known as Roosevelt, also helped honor the 100th anniversary of the school building by providing family activities, food trucks, games, art projects, music, and mor
