BRANSON, Mo. — The city of Branson says a project to improve Main Street in Downtown Branson is not only done, but done a month ahead of schedule.
That's music to the ears of business owners who have had to work around the most recent segment of construction, limiting traffic and parking during the work.
"When it first started, we were all kind of, 'oh, boy, this is going to be horrible', but we all got through it and now it's fabulous," Susan Kelley with Plum Bazaar said. "It's great, it's the first time the street has been opened in several weeks, so it's been fabulous. The construction guys were superb. They worked, some of them worked round the clock as in 18-hour shifts. The street looks great. I'm happy with everything."
Kelley says it was tough sledding during the construction.
