ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The mother of an Atlanta child shot and killed in 2020 took the stand with emotional testimony on Thursday.
Charmaine Turner told jurors about her 8-year-old daughter, Secoriea Turner, and the details around the night she was killed.
Julian Conley is on trial, accused of the murder, five years after the tragedy that happened near the burned-down Wendy’s on University Avenue. There was already ongoing protests in that area after Rayshard Brooks was shot and killed by a police officer the month prior.
