The Los Angeles Police Department is in pursuit of a fleeing driver Thursday afternoon. Sky5 is overhead.

The dark-colored vehicle was on the 110 Freeway as of about 4:10 p.m., though the speeding driver was weaving between cars and going on to the shoulder in an attempt to evade police.

The vehicle's speed remained above 90 mph and sometimes topped 100 mph on the freeway.

About five minutes later, the driver went the wrong direction down an on-ramp to the freeway, prompting at least one minor collision and temporarily slowing officers. He shortly thereafter returned to the 110.

At that point, the vehicle's rear bumper was barely hanging on, with high-speed winds buffeting the vehicle.
