RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - A teacher in Rapides Parish has been accused of the “unlawful sale or distribution” of tobacco to a juvenile, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On September 8, RPSO said they got complaints about suspicious messages that were found on a juvenile’s cell phone between them and a teacher.

RPSO said their investigation revealed Camila Pacheco , 27, of Pineville, had allegedly supplied tobacco to the juvenile, but not at a school.

On Sept 18, RPSO shared that Pacheco turned herself in at the Rapides Parish Detention Center, where she was arrested for one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and one count of unlawful sale or distribution of tobacco products to a person under 21. She was later released on a $1,000 bond.
