Wind topples tree, kills mini horse at Las Vegas nonprofit

LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A mini horse died Thursday after a windblown tree fell on a Las Vegas nonprofit’s property, according to the organization.

The incident occurred just after midday Thursday when the wind knocked down a dead tree on the nonprofit’s property. The mini horse, named Mickey, died.

According to the organization’s website , Horses4Heroes aims to provide outdoor recreation for military and first responder families and to demonstrate “the transformative power of equine experiences.”

Horses4Heroes is seeking funding assistance for Mickey’s cremation.
