INDIANAPOLIS -- A substitute teacher at an Indianapolis elementary school was removed from school grounds on Thursday, amidst allegations that they pushed and grabbed students.

Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township confirmed in a statement to FOX59/CBS4 that a substitute teacher had to be removed from Winding Ridge Elementary School on Thursday afternoon, following allegations that they had "forcibly" pushed and grabbed multiple students while teaching in a classroom. The school said the teacher also allegedly cursed at the students during the altercation.
