After a warm Thursday with gusty winds, Portland should see similar conditions on Friday but with potentially calmer winds.

The National Weather Service forecast called for winds of 8-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph throughout the Willamette Valley on Thursday. Coastal areas may experience slightly stronger winds, with sustained speeds of 15-20 mph and gusts near 30 mph. The high temperature for Portland on Thursday was expected to be 82 degrees.

Friday will continue the dry trend, with temperatures remaining warm and winds persisting from the north. There is a low chance, around 10%, of isolated showers or storms developing in far eastern Lane and Linn counties Friday afternoon and evening.
