Buffy the Vampire Slayer has one of the best TV fandoms ever, and while certain opinions have almost universal agreement amongst the fans, I've come to realize one undeniable truth that goes against the grain. Don't get me wrong, I'm in lockstep with the fans in thinking that "Hush" is a perfect Buffy episode , Xander is toxicity personified, and the Scooby Gang is way too hard on Buffy.

However, I can't get behind Buffy fans' overall opinions about season 1.
