SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Reportedly, car thefts have increased in multiple areas across Utah, including in Kaysville and in Wayne County.
According to the Kaysville Police Department, vehicle burglaries have increased over the last month. As a result, officials are asking the public to be aware and remember to lock up.
KPD is recommending people follow what they call 9pm routine, and they say the public should "Take a few moments each night to go through this quick and easy checklist". The routine steps include the following: • Remove car keys from vehicle • Bring your valuables inside (purse, wallet, cash, phone, firearms, etc) • Lock your vehicles and home • Turn on exterior light
