WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. — State officials and local leaders are joining forces with the YMCA of Coastal Carolina to bring new services to Williamsburg County. The goal is Improve quality of life and strengthen community connections.

Changes are on the way to better serve young people, helping keep them off the streets and prevent violence in rural communities.

“We do have big plans. We’re working with city and county officials to advance programs across the region. I grew up in a rural county in North Carolina, so I have a real heart for communities that might be less fortunate and have more needs than some metropolitan areas," says David Byrd, President/CEO of YMCA Coastal South Carolina.
