LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

It was a top-10 showdown at the KFC Yum! Center Thursday night as No. 3 Louisville hosted rival No. 6 Kentucky.

UofL took the first set with a 21-25 win, but Kentucky would post the same score to take the second set.

In a close third set Louisville went up 2-1 with a 26-24 win. But Kentucky would take the fourth set decisively, 25-12.

The Wildcats won the final set 15-7, clinching the match win.

For Kentucky, Brooklyn DeLeye finished with 25 kills, 14 digs, and six blocks. Eva Hudson was behind DeLeye with 17 kills, 21 digs, and three assists.

For the Cardinals, Payton Petersen had 14 kills, 11 digs, and five blocks, while Hannah Sherman totaled nine kills, 11 blocks, and one dig.
