Testing is underway for the next SpaceX Starship launch in Boca Chica, Texas, signaling that we’re one step closer to seeing a Starship lift off from the Space Coast.

WESH 2 has previously reported on multiple Federal Aviation Administration meetings to gather feedback from residents about bringing Starship launches to Florida. Residents have taken full advantage of those meetings to voice their concerns.

Now, Titusville Mayor Andrew Connors is reaching out to the FAA on behalf of his constituents. In a letter, he highlighted three key issues: public access to Playalinda Beach, environmental disruptions to protected species, and the precedent that could be set for future access.
