The Inglewood City Council has spent $72 million on the Inglewood Transit Connector (ITC) project and it hasn’t broken ground yet.

When Rep. Maxine Waters halted federal funding on the project she called “ridiculous” she wrote in an op-ed “ Who besides the developers, advisors and consultants stand to benefit? Not the people of Inglewood . ” And she’s not wrong.

When Inglewood Budget Manager Keauonna Buckhanon presented the proposed FY 2025-2026 budget to the City Council on September 16, she didn’t disclose to the public that the City exceeded its spending by $152,726,869.
