CHEYENNE — The common saying is “The student becomes the master.”

But next weekend, the music instructors at Laramie County Community College will go back to their roots and perform on stage for the Music Faculty Showcase. The show begins at 3 p.m. Sept. 27 in the Surbrugg/Prentice Auditorium.

According to a news release sent out by Lisa Trimble, vice president of advancement at LCCC, “The Music Faculty Showcase will bring together LCCC faculty and regional collaborators in a variety of performances highlighting strings, winds and more.”

Performers include Frank Cook, an LCCC music instructor and director of bands, along with pianist Joe McAllister from the University of Northern Colorado. Other performers include Will Jones, a retired U.S. Air Force Band euphonium soloist and LCCC tuba
