About two dozen people were there. The event was organized by Doctor Richard Moss, who ran last year for Indiana's 8th Congressional Seat. He lost to Mark Messmer in the republican primary. Dr. Moss talked about the kind of person Kirk was and emphasized how Kirk practiced what he believed.
"He was a great apostle of all the things we believe in, of faith, belief in God, and family, and of our great country,” Moss said. “And he carried that message, he spoke often about the nuclear family, which we know is the base of civilization, gotta have strong families. So he carried that message into the most challenging environments, which is our universities."
