SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. — San Tan Valley, home to approximately 100,000 people, is officially a town, and now, they have their voice.

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors appointed seven people to serve on the inaugural town council until an open election can be held in August 2026.

This development comes after San Tan Valley residents voted in favor of incorporating last month.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to be a part of this rare moment where we’re seeing the birth of the 92nd community in the state of Arizona," Tyler Hudgins, an appointed town council member, said.
