SWANSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - Family members of residents living at an assisted living facility in Onslow County are voicing their frustrations after residents were left without hot water for 10 days.
Hot water was restored at The Landings of Swansboro late Thursday night, according to a post on the facility’s Facebook page.
The facility posted on its Facebook hours before that the facility had been dealing with issues with its hot water.
Relatives of residents say they were upset that residents were without hot water due to concerns for their health and well-being and weren’t told why.
“Disappointing,” Kalynne English said. “Most people are not going to want to bathe in cold water, especially not at their age, they can get pneumonia or any type of sickness.”
