OMAHA, Neb. —

Former cross country runners at Burke High School dusted off the yearbook.

The 1975 Burke cross country team was the first state championship team for the school.

On Thursday, they ran with the current cross country team at their own pace, of course.

The head coach said it was great for the culture.

"It's a unique culture that truly does blend support a family environment into a competitive athletic space," said Steve Satterly.

Burke hasn't had a state championship in cross country for a few decades, but the team said they're ready for the challenge this year.
