KENNEWICK, Wash. – Secretary of State Steve Hobbs visited the Tri-Cities on Thursday, stopping by the Benton County Election Center.
Hobbs was guided through the recently updated location by local staff. They highlighted their dedication to safety, accuracy and transparency in the election process.
Previously, the county used a building on Columbia Center Blvd, which was a former Chuck E. Cheese, for voting. The new facility is attached to the Benton County Justice Center and includes a secure ballot counting area.
Benton County boasts more than half a dozen certified election administrators, ranking among the highest in rural Washington. This helps the county run efficiently on election days.
