BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -Biannually, the Bowling Green Police Department has recruitment open houses to engage with community members while also recruiting anyone interested in joining the department’s team or the police academy.

At the open house, community members were able to meet officers and ask questions relating to their community.

Recruiting Sergeant Brad Hogue emphasized that these open houses are for everyone in the community to attend.

“We are the Bowling Green Police Department. We’re a community organization,” said Hogue. “We’re everybody’s police department. So it’s also an opportunity for members of the community that might not be interested in a career in policing to come out and learn more.”
