PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) - Behind strong offensive performances from Barrett Wheeler and Xzyavier Wilson, Perryville football got back to .500.
Perryville defeated Bayless 37-8, in a Thursday night game that saw the Pirates offense gradually take over the contest.
Early on, Kayd Luckey threw a dart to Wilson, who streamed into the end zone for the first score of the game.
But Bayless didn’t plan on giving up. The Bronchos took a deep shot, with only Luckey’s tackle saving a touchdown, but Bayless would rush it in a play later. In fact, a 2-pt conversion gave the Bronchos an 8-7 lead.
Perryville didn’t waste time responding. Luckey found Wilson, who juked a defender, dodging another, and juking once more, running into the end zone for his second touchdown of the game.
