The Wheeling Park Patriots, winners of the OVAC 5A Golf Tournament on Thursday at Spiedel Golf Club’s Jones Course. The Patriots’ team of Andrew Pennybacker, Will Koegler, Owen Abraham, Quinn Marsh and Seth Weidner took home the gold for Wheeling Park. Their head coach is Don Headley, who is retiring after this season.

WHEELING — While one team walked away with the trophy Thursday at Spiedel Golf Club’s Jones Course, Wheeling Park head coach Don Headley had a different notion of the ‘winner’ after the OVAC 5A Golf Championship wrapped up.

“The Jones course is always the winner up here,”
