GREELEY — A flapper-era ice cream shop is expected to open next April or earlier in the historic Salzman shoe building at 911 Eighth Ave.
Edison’s Ice Cream owners want to preserve the historic charm of the building and play into its 1920s-to-1940s design style, according to materials from a recent historic preservation commission meeting.
Customers will get a chance to examine historic details of the building up close and personal, including the Salzman shoe sign, which hangs outside the building. Light will flood into the space from the high windows, which are currently painted.
