AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Texas football team was certainly anchored by its defense in 2024. To start this fall in nonconference play, that has again been the case.

The Longhorns' offense has been inconsistent, especially when throwing the ball. Against some lesser competition in Week 3 against UTEP, Texas managed only 114 yards passing.

As Texas heads into its final nonconference game this weekend against Sam Houston, it'll look to take the next step ahead of SEC action.
