EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State sweeps Binghamton in the Kathy DeBoer Invitational in straight sets 3-0 to move the Spartans to a perfect (8-0) record on the season. With the win, Michigan State volleyball head coach Kristen Kelsay, notched the best start for a first-year head coach in program history.
After the win, Kelsay was drenched in water by her players in the locker room for her accomplishment. An accomplishment she wanted to share with her players and staff.
"This is such a special team, I've said it a lot and I mean it whole heartedly," explained Kelsay. "There's no better group I'd rather be with in this first year. Their heart, their buy-in, their tenacity, their resiliency, so it's fun as we celebrate these moments together."
