Hampton quarterback Marcus Chapman put on a show Friday night, throwing three touchdown passes and running for two more as the Crabbers cruised past Woodside 47-7 at Todd Stadium.

Chapman wasted little time getting Hampton started, hitting Davion Perry for a 13-yard score and then running in from six yards out to make it 14-0 in the first quarter. By then, the senior signal caller was a perfect 5-for-5 for 60 yards.

Woodside briefly answered with a 36-yard touchdown run from Terris Bowen midway through the second quarter, but it was all Hampton from there. Chapman found Abraham Taft III for a 20-yard strike, and Casey Lassiter broke loose for a 56-yard run to give the Crabbers a 28-7 halftime lead.
